At the head of our government, we have snotty brats that refuse to breathe the same air as other people so they literally decide to live in a bubble (One Piece Manga and Anime: Vol. 51 Chapter 497 and Episode 391) They believe that humans are toys, haven’t heard of something called consciousness, and think that cruelty is cool.
Because they were born with what they think is noble blood and what’s more hilarious is that the entire world believes the same, they get to have special treatment.
They are above the law, the marine is at their beck and call, and any offense against them is an offense against the entire government.
Touch them, and you might end up in prison, but it’s more likely that you and your entire family will get killed after being tortured for several days. And yet, for some reason, they might just pee into their pants every time they hear the word “D”. Weird that they didn’t ban the letter from the alphabet yet. They are that petty after all.
Now, I don’t wanna lump our kind MC with them, I might get done like Charlos if I do. But what if Luffy was a Celestial Dragon as well? The thought alone is disgusting, isn’t it?
COULD LUFFY BE A CELESTIAL DRAGON?
Celestial Dragons, why are they so full of themselves?
The Celestial Dragons AKA World Nobles, are a mysterious group who believe that they themselves are important and almighty people because of an ancient ancestor that they know nothing about, founded the government.
“The blood of the creators of this world” might run in their veins, but the fact still remains that they are losers who haven’t achieved anything themselves. Except for destroying the lives of others.
One of the most satisfying scenes of the series was when Luffy put one of them back in his place after magnificently punching his smug face to show him just how weak he really is (One Piece Manga: Chapter 502)
The title of world noble is not earned, you are born with it. By total coincidence, no matter how unfit you are, you are able to direct the fate of the world just because you are a descendant of the Twenty Kings who shaped it.
With no other way to be called a Celestial Dragon, all we have to do to make sure Luffy does get mixed up in their twisted world is to prove he has clean blood.

Luffy, the Celestial Dragons’ natural enemy?
Luffy’s family tree is well known. He is Dragon’s kid, the grandson of Garp, and none of them are close to being nobles.
On the contrary, it looks more like they are the natural enemies of the world nobles. I mean, the “D” family are the only crazy people on Earth who constantly dare to defy them.
Labeled as a threat, the Celestial Dragons are terrified of them and to be honest, the reason is yet unknown. No matter how strong they are, they should have nothing to worry about, they have an army backing them after all.
They even turned them into scary stories to make their kids behave, they turned them into some kind of monsters saying that if they don’t obey, the D’s will be coming to eat them alive. It’s stretching it a bit though. I don’t think they will taste good enough for a D’s pallet (One Piece Manga and Anime: Vol. 77 Chapter 764 (p. 7-8) and Episode 703).
As you can see nothing points out to the fact that Luffy has anything to do with the world nobles. But did we go through all the possibilities?
Conclusion
Did you know? In some very very very very rare cases, some Celestial Dragons can decide to discard their title and live like normal people amongst the citizens.
If they do, they will be stripped of all their privileges, be labeled as traitors, and any trace that they were ever part of the organization will be destroyed (One Piece Manga and Anime: Vol. 73 Chapter 723 and Episode 654)
Why am I telling you this now? I’m a bit of a tease you see and I have one last question for you before letting you go. Do you know who Luffy’s mom is?
Think about it, if the answer to our question was so obvious, why even ask it. Because there is still a gray area we didn’t go through.
As slim a possibility as it can be, what if Luffy’s mom was a Celestial Dragon? She denied her upbringing and left her home.
She met Dragon and fell in love, the man is very cunning and quite hot, they had a kid together, our rubber man… think about it… you know how ironic Oda can be. Is this theory too much of a stretch?
