Disney+ continues to expand its range of anime on its streaming platform, as the service has recently added Phoenix: Eden 17 and Synduality Noir with all episodes currently available to stream in Japanese with English subtitles.
Phoenix: Eden 17 and Synduality Noir have both been added to the service as part of the STARS ORIGINALS line-up, and slowly expands on the range of anime currently available on the platform.
Phoenix: Eden 17:
“All things are born and all things die. That is the law of heaven.” According to legend, the Bird of Fire called the Phoenix is the eternal spirit of life, death and rebirth. She oversees the cycle of reincarnation and the rising and falling of civilizations and species. Those who can obtain her blood will be granted eternal life, while to others she can grant infinite wisdom, or eternal suffering. Throughout history, from the dawn of civilization to the extinction of the human race, those human souls touched by the Phoenix have hunted her over and over in multiple reincarnations, and their actions in one life determine or reflect the sins and sufferings of other lifetimes.
Phoenix: Eden 17 features 4 episodes on Disney+ and a feature-length-film version, which reportedly will have a different ending, is expected to be released in Japan later this year.
Synduality Noir:
The year is 2242. Humanity was forced to seek refuge deep underground due to the unprecedented calamity known as the “Tears of the New Moon,” but following the collapse of the underground city-state of “Amasia,” they begun to venture back towards the surface with hope of living there once more.
Synduality Noir features 10 episodes on Disney+.
Both titles are currently available to stream on Disney+ in the UK, a service which can be accessed with a valid subscription, an internet connection and compatible equipment.
